To ensure all guests enjoy their stay, please take a moment to read the following Terms & Conditions, which form part of your booking agreement.
By booking with us, you agree to adhere to these rules and guidelines.
Check-In & Check-Out Times
- Check-in: 4:00pm – 7:00pm (Until 9:00pm on Fridays during High Season only)
- Check-out: By 10:30am (unless otherwise advised)
Early check-in (from 2:00pm) is available for £20, subject to availability. Please email info@rumbridge.co.uk to request.
A £100 security deposit to be paid on arrival covers damage, excessive cleaning, or lost items. The amount will be ‘pre-authorised’ against your credit or debit card and paid back in full within 7 days of leaving, after full checks have been completed. If costs exceed this, you will be invoiced for the difference (payable within 28 days).
Data Protection & Mailing List
By booking a stay at Rum Bridge Glamping & Fishing Resort, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Your data will be used for booking management, communication related to your stay, and to add you to our mailing list, where you will have the option to unsubscribe at any time. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Extreme Weather
We can’t be held responsible if you’re unable to reach Rum Bridge due to bad weather or travel disruption (e.g. snow, floods, high winds, road closures, or train delays). In these cases, no refunds or alternative dates will be offered — please make sure you have suitable travel insurance.
If we cancel your stay for safety reasons due to extreme weather, we’ll offer you a new date (subject to availability).
Liability
We can’t accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your property (including dogs), vehicles, or vehicle contents during your stay.
If you leave something behind in your accommodation, we are happy to post it back, but this will cost a fee to do so.
FORCE MAJEURE
We’re not liable for events outside our control (like fire, flooding, storms, attacks or other natural disasters) that affect your stay or make the site unsafe or unusable. In these rare cases, refunds are at the discretion of management.
On-Site Assistance & Reception Hours
- Reception open daily: 9:00am – 7:00pm
- A team member is often on-site – feel free to say hello or ask for help
- Please report any maintenance concerns or incidents as soon as possible.

We pride ourselves on friendly service and high standards – if something’s not quite right, let us know during your stay and we’ll do our best to put it right.
Quiet Hours & Respect for Other Guests
We’re a peaceful, nature-based retreat. Please help keep it that way:
- Quiet Hours: 10:30pm – 7:00am
- No amplified music or sound after 9:00pm
- No noise should be audible outside your accommodation during quiet hours
- Be considerate and respect other guests’ space and privacy
Occasionally, we host seasonal events, which will be clearly advertised in advance. Visit rumbridge.co.uk to see what’s on.
Accommodation Rules & Good Housekeeping
Our accommodation includes pods, bell tents, shepherd’s huts, and yurts. To keep them in great condition:
- We politely ask you to remove footwear before entering – boot racks or baskets are provided.
- No smoking or vaping inside (violations will result in the loss of your security deposit)
- A full inventory is provided in your welcome pack – please check on arrival
- Report any damage or missing items promptly (charges may apply)
- Leave all accommodations clean and tidy:
- Wash and put away kitchenware – if you’re staying in Queenie or The Armadillo.
- Excessive mess: £30 cleaning fee
- Lost keys: £45 replacement fee
- We reserve the right to inspect accommodation at any time during your stay
A £100 security deposit is required with each booking, this covers damage, excessive cleaning, or lost items. If costs exceed this, you will be invoiced for the difference (payable within 28 days). To be paid on arrival, via card pre-authorisation. It’s released within 7 days if everything is left in good order.
Fire Pits & Logs
- 1 bag of logs included per booking
- Extra logs (£5 – £10) and kindling are available – pay at reception
- Fire pits must remain in place and be used with supplied timber only
- No personal firewood or charcoal permitted
- No open fires – only use designated fire pits
- Keep accommodation doors closed when using fire pits
- Do not collect wood from the woodland or surrounding areas
BBQs: Are not allowed on site / please use our allocated fire pits for cooking.
Bins & Waste Disposal
Please help us keep the site clean and safe:
- Ask at reception if you’re unsure where items go
- Do not leave rubbish or food outside your accommodation
- Any waste left with us – will be taken off your deposit and charged at £5 (bags are provided)
Dogs at Rum Bridge
We welcome well-behaved dogs in Ed’s Pod and Queenie.
- Must be always kept on a lead in communal spaces onsite.
- Do not leave dogs unattended inside
- Always clean up after your dog and use the bins provided
Health & Safety Guidelines
- Natural setting with open water and uneven ground – take care, especially at night
- Familiarise yourself with the fire extinguisher (rear of unit), fire blanket, and first aid kits (can be requested at reception)
- Children must be supervised at all times during your stay
- No swimming or paddling in the lakes (this includes pets)
- Report all accidents or safety issues to reception as soon as possible
Parking & Speed Limits
- One parking space per booking
- Extra cars must be approved in advance (£10) contact us on info@rumbridge.co.uk 48hrs before arrival.
- 5mph speed limit across site
- A wheelbarrow is available at reception to help with your belongings
Electric Vehicle Charging
We currently do not offer EV charging. Please check nearby locations via:

- Open daily: 9:30am – 7:00pm
- Children must be always supervised
- Please return books back to the borrow book library after reading. So others get to enjoy!
Shared Facilities
We ask all guests to be respectful when using shared spaces.
- Outdoor kitchen includes washing-up area, shared utensils, and a fridge.
- Please wash and return anything you use
- Clearly label fridge items – we’re not responsible for lost or removed food
Let’s Keep Rum Bridge Green 
We love our environment – please help us protect it:
- Don’t litter – every bit helps
- Need kitchenware? Use our Utensil Loan Scheme – just leave a deposit
- If you are not taking the rubbish home, please speak to someone at reception – about rubbish disposal & recycling onsite. Note this is charged at a small fee.
Weather Advisory & Camping Conditions
Our tents and yurts are durable but made of canvas – heavy rain may result in some leakage.
- Pack appropriate clothing and footwear
- Rum Bridge is an outdoor experience – we can’t be held responsible for weather-related discomfort
- In extreme weather, we may advise postponing your stay for safety
Cancellations & Booking Policies
- No refunds after 48hrs of booking, if you need to change dates we will do our best to accommodate but this of course is subject to availability, and we may need to charge a admin fee of 5% to do this.
- No refunds for weather-related cancellations
- Rum Bridge is not liable for cancellations due to Force Majeure (e.g. natural disasters, civil unrest, pandemics)
- Travel insurance is recommended
- If booked via a third-party (e.g. Pitch Up), their cancellation policy applies – please check with them directly.
Group Bookings – Terms & Conditions
We welcome considerate groups under the following conditions:
- A group = 3 or more units
- Maximum group size: 6 units
- New Year’s Eve: max 2 units
- All group bookings must be made directly via info@rumbridge.co.uk
- Bookings made separately online will be cancelled without notice.
- One organiser to handle all payments and communication.
- Additional units must be approved before booking.
- Each guest must check in individually at reception.
- No loud music at any time.
- Noise kept to a minimum after 9:00pm
- Children must be supervised.
- Shared fire pits or additional guests must be approved in advance.
- Rubbish must go in the correct bins.
- Breaches of group rules may result in removal without refund.

Lost Property
Items left behind must be claimed within 14 days.
Postage charges will apply for returned items.
